The Brutalist, the latest film from Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody, will finally be released in theaters this month. The film has received multiple Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor. Universal Pictures has announced that the movie will be entering theatres on February 28.
The Brady Corbet-directed film is one of the year’s most critically lauded. It has received ten nominations.
Aside from Adrien, the picture features Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Isaach De Bankolé, and Alessandro Nivola.
Previously, The Brutalist made headlines for its use of artificial intelligence in post-production.
However, the director later stated that they merely employed AI to improve the pronunciation of specific syllables and vowels in the Hungarian language.
Director Brady Corbet released a statement stating that the AI audio technology Respeecher was used in some scenes of the film. It “was used in Hungarian language dialogue editing only, specifically to refine certain vowels and letters for accuracy. No English language was changed.” Speaking of the Oscar-nominated actors, Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones’ performances, the filmmaker stated, “Adrien and Felicity’s performances are completely their own.”
